Need firmware for my LTE router

FIRST things first the router in question is a CELL C RTL31VW LTE-A made by ASKEY. I tried to use it with my rain sim card and for some reason it did not pick up the sim(router had been confirmed working with vodacom prior to this )and for what ever reason I decided I needed new firmware and stumbled across the “all we know about RTL30VW LTE-A” forum and I saw firmware and immediately started to flash ... long story short I only see now that the model differs and my router does not have support for sim under network anymore any help would be greatly appreciated(I need firmware for the RTL31VW or any tips on what I can try would also be GREAT maybe custom firmware from something opensource like openers.org )

If the router isn't locked I believe you should be able to edit the default APN to rains one.
Just my two cents, why would you buy a cell c branded router

Hi there. Wondering if someone can help me. I have a few of the cellc rtl31vw LTE routers but can't seem to get any signal. On any network.it was bought from a company that upgraded. Could it be locked somehow or is there settings that I need to change? I'm not really clued up with routers?

Hi guys I have the same problem with cellc rtl31vw LTE router, I've inserted my rain sim, weirdly I do get a very bad connection with no signal at all on the router itself and slow slow internet connection,but when I insert the rain sim into my phone my signal is full

From what I've gathered these are lte a routers so only work with fixed lte or pure lte which some networks call it.
