Shift into high gear! Designed to deliver a true driver's experience that reflects contemporary motorsports, Need for Speed Shift is built by racers for racers. Need for Speed Shift delivers an authentic and immersive driving experience, replicating the true feeling of racing high-end performance cars like never before.

I just hope they make a come back with this one really:rolleyes: , because the last thing racing game players need is another fail nfs.

The news so far is pretty upbeat ......... it's gone back to it's roots which might work out massively for them. If it's another Fail, I can't see any NFS title following this to sell well ever again.

looks like the shoddy last release, i think they put too much effort into the cut screens, and neglected the gameplay

I got Pro Street with my PS3. The driving experience is ok, but what I a load of ****e content. Idiots walking around with hoodies and posing like rappers, yuck! The drag racing to me is lame and the commentary is wrist slitting.

If its of any consolidation, this NFS is being developed by ex-Blimey Games staff, who developed (together with Simbin) GT Legends and GTR 2.

But I'll wait for the reviews.

Features[7]

* Physics model of NFS: Shift is based on those of “Ferrari Project”
* Professional setting is more accurate to drive than in GTR2
* Eero Piitulainen of Richard Burns Rally has developed totally new tyre-physics model which is mainly responsible for new physics
* Difference between 3 physics-models is in assist levels, while lowest setting will provide around 10% of more tyre grip for beginners
* Lots of efforts has gone into handling development so the game can be driven with controller
* Professional setting will require wheel in order to successfully manage throttle/braking and steering inputs
* Shift will feature different car classes - from Golf GTI up to Zonda F
* All cars can be upgraded and tuned from inside-out
* Most tracks are licensed European and American circuits with few non-existing tracks
* There will be few city-circuits
* Cockpit is the most important visual feature of the game
* Head-physics is the key difference point to other titles

Sounds awesome, looks awesome, features looks awesome, and most people are actually positive about it. Plus Both the Evo IX and the X is in the game... making me happy...

BUT! I'm not a big fan about sims... I miss Underground 2 and Most Wanted... But ok I probably won't see it again anytime soon the way they been screwing up the games so far... that's why though of going sim...

I'm a sim fan and though most sims usually follow the hard-core racing route, it be nice that one simulates roadworthy high performance/sports cars (like the old Porsche Unleashed) for a change.

At least it'll then be the closest I'll ever get to driving a Zonda or Veyron :)

And there isn't any competition in that genre atm. I mean there's soo many racing "simulators" out there, but not a single new underground nfs type game.
