I recently purchased a Samsung SGH-E250 after reeding several write ups about the glitsy new slider, however everything I have come to take for granted from having had a Motorola v360 has changed with this phone. I was using gmail's app for cell phones for downloading my mail, WHICH DOES NOT WORK ON THE E250, as a certificate that is required does not seem to be present, how do I find this certificate and how do I install it, gmail tells me to contact Samsung, and they tell me to contact google, I give up. I connect the Samsung USB cable to my phone and the other to a USB port and XP tells me it doesn't recognise the hardware and that it won't work properly, and they're not lying. Then I resort to using a bluetooth connection and through this the PC will not even see the microSD card. I took all these queries to Samsung who told me the certificate issue has nothing to do with them as gmail is a third party application, told me to set the USB connector to mass storage device rather than modem, dah! like I haven't done that, my Motorola worked exactly the same, and told me to set the microSD card to visible on the phone settings, do they think we are all idiots and would contact them if hadn't already exhausted all these options, please guys if you have the same problems and have managed to sort these out please let me know, if not contact Samsung and hopefully if there are enough of us mentioning these problems, the'll realise there is a problem and sort it out.
I posted an add regarding several glitches on my samsung E250, according to some feedback I received these problems stretch accross several phones in the samsung range. I got no satisfactory feedback from Samsung to solve these problems and decided to go my own way, I am replacing my E250 with a Sony Ericsson phone, hopefully if more people take this radical approach Samsung will do something about the problem when they notice a decline in sales. I am quite squeemish now about purchasing anything Samsung, hope they can get it right in the future as their design team seems to know what they are doing, however we do not just buy electronics for the appeal but also its functionality, it needs to work, properly.....Good luck to all Samsung phone holders.
