Need Graphics Card Advice

Dual Core 3.00GHZ
2gig Ram
win7 (32bit)
already mentioned my mobo and current gfx card, any relevant info i'm missing out?

Your power supply?
I would get the 5770.
With your specs it seems like you wouldn't have the biggest power supply, and also not a case with too many fans?

Therefore the 5770 would be a much better buy than the 4890, as it uses 3x less electricity, and runs 3x cooler.

Actually recently upgraded my case with plenty of cooling, system never gets above 30 degrees, save for the gpu which gets to 40-50-ish. Also my psu is pretty decent, 600W

I got a 5770 some weeks ago and I'm not regretting it. Great bang for buck card without a doubt.

Personally I'd say purchase a GTS250 1GB card and use the left over cash to add an extra 1GB of RAM to your system.

OK so I've finally come to a decision to get the 5770, however it seems like it is out of stock virtually everywhere I look. Anyone know where I can pick one up? Or a place that restocks fairly regulary

These cards are made with the same specifications as any other brand; same quality standards as well. Club 3D cards also come with a 2 year warranty on all the individual parts of the card which is also a great plus.

Makes one wonder how much it costs Nvidia to create such a card and for how much higher % they are selling it to kill the the customer...For all we know perhaps it costs them R2000 to make and selling them at between 6-8k...

The GTX 480 is actually selling quite close to the break even point since it has such poor yields

I can build an entire gaming rig for R8k and play all the games I want to play. R8k for a card is not justified...
