Hi guys im new to the whole internet thing and currently have Axxess capped running. Recently I purchased Openweb uncapped 384kbps but cant seem to get it on. I canceled Axxess and called openweb and they said that I must put a username and password into my router but I dont know how to! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Try typing in 10.0.0.2 into your address field of your browser, your routers menu should come up. What make is it?

In the menu you should find some sort of option for entering in your account details.

Its a Telkom ADSL 5102G

When I put those numbers into the address bar, must I put the username and password Openweb gave me into it?

firstly what router do you have ?

secondly do this so long and write it down and post it here

start -> run -> cmd -> press the enter key

then type in IPCONFIG and press enter

look for default gateway and note the numbers, that would be your routers ip's, and that is what you would be needing to get in to set up the connection.

Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : <numbers will be here on your screen>
...

there is always the option to contact openweb and ask help from there on:

When you put the numbers in, press enter and a webpage should come up. On that webpage, click on Quick Start, on the left hand side, then enter your details in the User ID field, and the password field. Then press connect at the bottom.

After it's finished, click on Save Settings in the top left corner.

Ok so I put 10.0.0.2 into my browser and up come a window that tells me to put in a username and password for my router. Is this my routers user and password or openwebs?

it'll be a default user+pass ... check your router manual

that is your router's username and password; usaully someting like

admin with blank password
admin with admin
Admin with Admin
Administrator with blank

-quite a few combos.

when your in, THEN you use your openweb user+pass :)
