Hi Everybody

Please can somebody help me.I just bought the DSTV HD PVR Decoder installed it with my sd decoder
it all works with the multiswitch.now i would like to know some thing about the heartbeat cable is it possible that i can take the RF Out of the HD PVR and feed that into the SD PVR RF In port will the xtra view work. The Reason for this is that i only need DSTV on three TVS in the House.the one TV has the HD PVR,the second TV has the SD PVR, and the third TV the SD PVRS second point. So This way i will not need to split the RF out with a splitter.

Thanks

yes you can use the RF out (or even the rf in ) of the HD pvr for xtraview in to the rf in of the sd just go to the setting on the HD pvr for xtraview and choose the rf out and make sure that the tv link is on on the SD pvr

Hey Guys just a quick question can the HD PVR 2P use extra view with the sd pvr,HD PVR 2p as the primary and SD Pvr as secondery

Hi, can you please assist me with a setup diagram of the HD PVR 2P with SD PVR? The aim is to setup both decoders in the lounge with 3 bedroom tv's connected with RF cables and tvEye switching.

Hi

I do not have a diagram but i think you can find one on the DSTV website.

All you have to do is get a 2 way splitter then you take the 2-way splitter combine the two RF out on both decoders into one, the best way is to use the splitter in reverse.
Then you take the combined signal into another splitter now you just have to decide if you need a powered splitter or normal splitter to distribute the signal to the 3 Bedrooms.
You will most likely have to get a powered splitter as I have only used 2 Tv Eyes (TvLink) without the powered splitter.

All you have to do now is set-the heart beat and remote controls to the hd pvr or sd pvr

Good Luck
