Hi

So I just got myself a new card and it needs a separate (2x3) 6pin power connector. I've never had a card that needed a separate power connector. My psu doesn't have 1. So can I make one?

See link below for the exact connector. It's the 1st pic from the right in the bottom row.

Thanks

No. If you want to damage your card or blow up your pc you can try it .
you need to buy a new psu.

just checked the link and that's a junk psu. That psu is the same as the Coolermaster 400w psu where they just rebranded it with a 460w sticker and charge more for it. If you try to pull 460w from it its burns.

Your one gambling with your hardware not me

If you want people to believe you you need to quote the sources of your information. "My brothers buddy knew a guy whose.." is not a good enough source for you to base advice on.

I have had a couple of cooler master PSU's and I overloaded the crap out of them, never had a day of trouble.

Read some of the user reviews for that model here.

IMO it should work just fine with the splitter.
