Hey guys I need some help on EDGE....
So if anyone of you can help it would be very much appreciated.

A simple question...
Someone told me that EDGE does not use much of your airtime...Is this true:confused:
And if it is im gonna need some help, Is EDGE already on your Phone (I have a Nokia N90) or do you have to Get the settings from you service provider

A: No, EDGE does not define the amount of data that gets transferred and consequently EDGE does not define the amount of [pre-paid] airtime that gets used, instead it is the user of the connection that is transferring the data [charged per MB, not per minute] that defines the amount of airtime that gets used up :).

Someone else will have to answer the N90 question, or you could find out by looking at the specs at http://www.nokia.com

So how much is it charged per MB?

Oh and another thing can someone explain how EDGE works?

if i am not mistaken the last time checked .. ages ago it was at R 2 per MB. Unles you have a Bundle

Edge is your internet connection ... like GPRS but a bit faster ..

entry level would be GPRS then Edge then 3G then HSDPA ...

ok thanks, do anyone know if you can have both edge and 3g? coz the N90 has both

Edge is the defuault data carrier if 3G is down.

Eg if 3gs available u use 3g, if it goes down you using edge...
Edge is just a modified GSM gprs data carrier, on a good day it can also stream video feeds.
