Hi, is it possible to have a URL displayed differently in the search bar?

Example let's say my website is storminside.co.za

Is it possible to make it display like this: StormInside.co.za when people visit my website?

Why would you want to though? It looks incredibly silly with capitals.

Especially the I right in the middle.

Reminds me of some websites that just don't read properly as a URL, but fine as a business name for a lack of spacing.

That was just the example.

I want to use it for insidexbox.co.za

Since I think insideXbox.co.za looks and reads easier, plus from a logo design I think I can come up with some pretty decent designs using the X as emphasis if that makes sense?

Sure, register the company name in its entirety(i.e. A legal company) and then get an extended validation SSL certificate for the website. It will show the company name with the desired capitalisation as a green bar.

Does it - you have an example?

Aah right https://www.globalsign.com/en/ssl-information-center/what-is-an-extended-validation-certificate/

It doesn't modify the url, it just adds the company name to the left in certain browsers.

There is no way to have mixed case in the host portion of the URL. Browsers must be able to understand that www.insideXbox.co.za is the same as www.insidexbox.co.za but they should display it as www.insidexbox.co.za

Why?

because RFC 3986 says so..

https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986

You can go petition against that if you want to have mixed case..

Looks like this will be my closest bet.
Thank you.

Also thank you for this, this clears it up quite nicely leaving no room for doubt
