I'm trying to transfer a .co.za domain for my school to another host. When I sent through my Update request I received the error
This domain is registered but is not administered by the ZA Central Registry.

Further looking through the coza site revealed -

All domains registered and administered by ZA Domains are managed within the EPP domain management system, where as Uniform SA uses the old legacy system.

Domains which exist within the EPP system cannot be transferred back to a legacy system.

To have your domain transferred you will need to initiate the transfer via an Accredited Registrar or apply to become a Registy Accredited Registrar (RAR.)

Is there an easy solution for this? The domain is currently hosted by Interface Digital.

Thanks.

If the domain is still registered on the legacy system then just sign up with an accredited registrar (ZA Domains, Domains.co.za etc.), and initiate the transfer (select transfer and checkout) to move domain over to get it on the EPP system, once legacy ticket is accepted and transfer is complete then its just a matter of updating the domains nameservers from the control panel of the new registrar to point to the new host.

You are confusing the ZA Domains site with the ZACR .co.za site.

EDIT:
Do you only want to point the nameservers to the new host or move the domain name to them? If they are an accredited .co.za registrar you can move the domain over to them using same instructions as above. Otherwise you can use the accredited domain registrar of your choice.

Thanks for the mention NullHypothesis and for explaining the legacy transfer process in detail.

Another thanks to NullHypothesis . Google sent me on a chain of confusion and after reading the above I was sorted in 10 mins.
