Need Help with CS

Hi, I got Iburst and this is my first time trying to play CS on it, but i get this weird error that says "Cannot connect to server" Can anyone help? Does anyone know what programs I cud use for Packet loss detection? Plz help

Which CS are you trying? Source, or CS, are you using a updated Steam ?

By the way, not really related, but could anyone tell me what decent Frame Error Rate figures are. I am connected via ext. aerial and am about 11km from my base station with not so great LOS.

Last i check the FER went up to about 19% or so when browsing, I really cant remember too well though, it might have been a bit more or less.

ABout CS, are you using a original game? Or is the server password protected or maby a full? Just checking all the non-internet related problems first, just in case.

Im using Source or trying to. Yes its original. I bought HL2 and well i can update but i cant play anything.

Delete ClientRegistry.blob open steam again..

btw: which server are you trying ?

Oh and with packetloss you should be able to join the server fine: then use console net_graph 3 or 2 (cant remember which 1) check choke, thats the packets deleyed, meaning packetloss or slow pc..

Thats what they tell me, i hope its correct...

Before everyone says its not possible, I play cs on the local servers without much hassel. I get an average of 90ms latency which is totally playable! The patch antennae is critical for me. The only problem is I suck at fps

I get the same as you Nab ADSL for me though.. still cant play like a pro on IBurst
