I was forced to get a D-Link DSL-2640U after my Mega 100WR2 packed up. The Mega 100WR2 is out of warranty and Telscum says I have to log a call at 0800 375 375 so they can test it. I know the Mega 100WR2 is stuffed, the red LED is on and the USB and DSL LEDs is flashing. Switching it off & on and resetting it did not work.

I could have got a Mega 105WR for the same price as the D-Link, but decided I need something better.

How do I switch between the two ISP account on the modem/router? There is on tag to activate or deactivate the account.

Will RouteSentry work on the DSL-2640U?

I assume you are talking about Half-bridged mode here. This one puzzles me too...cause the last time I tried switching it didn't work correctly. For some reason it doesn't actually switch.

One work-around is to d/l the configs onto the PC edit the file & u/l it back again...but I wouldn't advise this unless you know what you are doing.

If you create a normal pppoe connection while the router is in half-bridge (the default) then it will override whatever ADSL account is configured on the router with the details of the pppoe. So I've only had to do the work-around once so far.

Should work...if you put it into bridged mode. Under half-bridge mode I haven't managed to set up a second connection from 1 PC....even if the Raspppoe is configured correctly.

Check the picture in the link at the end of this post. In it is a list of ISP accounts, you can add and remove accounts in this list. If I remember right it will try the top account first, so you should be able to move the account you currently want to use to the top and unless it works it will then try the next one down.

This is an interesting problem. Do you specifically connect from the router as well, or only from Route Sentry?

I installed Route Sentry and it could not detect any dial-up although there is about 3 dial-up connections. Rospeee (??) does not want to work either. I'll DL it again and see if I get it to work.

Guys, Route Sentry is not a big issue at this point in time. I have to get the wireless network up and running so the other 2 PC's can use the net.

The D-link DWL-G122 USB dongle sees the network but I can not connect to it. I used no protection, WPA and WPA2, even WEP, no success. Am I missing something? The dongle's software gives me an error and cannot start the application. Reinstalling does nor work either.

Can someone please point me in a direction to solve this? I'm using Win XP Pro SP3.

Thread resurrection, just got one of these today after a storm killed my TP-Link.
When setting up it only allows about 10 characters for the ISP username, both my MWeb & Afrihost usernames are longer then this.
How do I get around this?
And has anyone figured out an easy way to switch ISPs?

Not to worry, sorted

For anyone else with the same problem set it up via your browser, the setup disc is useless
I had to reset to defaults though to get the Quick Setup option
