Wife wanted to sign up with nashua mobile for a laptop deal some months ago.
She did not have her ID with her but was told she can fill in the paperwork and bring the ID at a later stage and then they will process it. ( not gonna get into why she signed up in the first place ). Anyway she decided not to go forth with the deal and advised the store accordingly. She however started getting statements and the first was for R800+. Signup fees + this and that and that.They dt her account with this amount and only after about 4 weeks of phoning email going into the store she got her money back and was told the contract has been cancelled. However they again this month deducted the subscription.
Firstly aint this illegal ? they approved her account without a valid ID doc. Second its illegal to deduct money from you if they not providing a service or giving you any merchandise. she did not get a laptop or a phone.
I see numerous complaint on hellopeter about NM but before I go this route who can I contact that higher up with NM that can get this fixed. I have a name of the guy who opened and "closed" the contract.
