Need help with Routesentry and Vista please

Hi there

I need help with setting up my two accounts to run with Routesentry and Vista.

I can set my router to bridge mode but when I create two accounts via Internet Explorer connections and either connect to the one or the other but not both.

In Routesentry I can see local and International accounts but cant get both to work.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me step by step how to do this coz I am going out of my mind.

PS I have a Telkom and Webafrica account. Want to use Telkom for local and Webafrica for Int.
 
Greater minds than mine may prove me wrong, but I believe what you want to do is impossible with vista. Something to do with vista's unique networking "features".
 
It works 100% on both my Laptops running Vista.
Did you remember to set your WANENDPOINTS to 2?

Fixed. Thank goodness for the greater minds around here. :o
 
Stuff like this should be stickied or put in the OP. Would make life so much easier. Been searching for something this for months...

Here is how I did it:

1: Set your router to "Bridged Mode"

2: Open Regedit, navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\C lass\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0002", change the value of "Wanendpoints" to "2"
Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Control\C lass\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0002", change the value of "Wanendpoints" to "2"

3: Close Regedit, and restart the PC.

4: Go to: Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center and click on the left side where it says: "Set up a connection or network"

5: Select "Connect to the Internet: Set up a wireless, broadband, or dial-up connection to the internet." Click Next

6: Select "Broadband (PPPoE). Type in your Username and password and tick "Remember Password". Type in "Local Connection" for the Connection name. Click "Create". It will test the connection and if everything is working, it will connect to your local account.

7: Go to "Network Connections" and right click on your local account. Select "Networking -> Properties -> Advanced." Deselect "Use default gateway on remote network". Click "OK" 3 times. Close all windows.

8: Go to: Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center and click on the left side where it says: "Set up a connection or network"

9: Select "Connect to the Internet: Set up a wireless, broadband, or dial-up connection to the internet." Click Next

10: Choose "Set up a new connection anyway", Choose "No, create a new connection" and press "Next"

11: Select "Broadband (PPPoE). Type in your Username and password and tick "Remember Password". Type in "International Connection" for the Connection name. Click "Create". It will test the connection and if everything is working, it will connect to your International account.

12: Install Routesentry and run as Admin.

13: Connect Local and International through Routesentry if already not connected.

14: Press "Set up routes now". It should now work

Well the above does work, just don't forget to restart pc like I did. Also if you not to familiar with VISTA like I was and have no idea where 'Run' is so that you can type in regedit.
When you click the START button , you can type regedit it in the 'start search' field.

A lazier way to change the wanendpoint is to just search for it in the registry editor.
expand till here :HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
With the system folder selected click on Edit --> Find
Type in Wanendpoints
(Now everytime you find an occurence change value to 2. You press F3 to go to the next one)
