Hey guys,
Not sure if the gaming forum is the right place to ask this.
A few of my friends and I have decided to play a game (Open TTD) over the internet. A few of us will be at my house with our PCs in a LAN. The others will have a LAN at another guy's house. The idea is that I host a server and the players in the LAN connect to the server. The others connect to my server via the internet.
As I understand, I need to "forward a port" for the game so that the other players can connect over the internet. Currently only the players in the LAN can access the server. The other that need to access the server over the internet can't find it.
My PC is connected to the internet via a mobile broadband connection. The PCs in the LAN are connected via an ethernet switch.
Does anyone know how I can make the server visible for the players that connect over the internet (forward a port)? I'm running Windows 7.
