Need help with Telkom

I have tried for days to get a hold of Telkom now. Each day I spend 45 minutes waiting to speak to somebody trying to get my line upgraded and eventually give up.

I eventually got a hold of somebody and requested my line be upgraded to 10 Meg from 4 and they downgraded me to 2.

I am at my wits end, what can I do to get this resolved guys? Telkoms service has absolutely fallen apart.

SNR is good but attenuation is at 51db. Loop length about 3,6km. Your running on an imax though, so you might get 10 but expect about 8mbps.

Yeah that's what I expected, still 8 meg is better than 4. Any idea how long it will take Telkom to do the upgrade?
 
Shayd, I also tried to get hold of them for quite a while. They didn't renew contracts for 450 of their call centre staff! In the end I found a way to get hold of them quite quickly... Use the Instant chat option on their website: http://www.telkom.co.za/myservices/
They usually accept your chat request withing 30s - 60s.


The button is labeled as: "Chat to an Agent".
Please note that this only works from 8am - 5pm.

Thank you this was a great help. Finally managed to put my order for 40mbps through:)
