Good afternoon

I have been involved in accident I'm not at fault, the other driver admit he is wrong. We are at police station now, what else do I need when I claim Monday. It's first time claiming so don't know what is needed when claiming.

If you took pics of what things looked like afterwards it could help.

The other person's details, or at least their car registration.

And most insurance places are contactable for accidents.
Call them now.

I learned a valuable lesson today do not drive behind a taxi driver.

So I was driving in a fast lane and on the slow lane, the was a mini bus (taxi) and Kia bakkie (work horse). So as usually the taxi driver decided to stop in the middle, of the road the kia driver without observing he shifted on the fast lane. I was already close I didn't my best to stop, but it was already to late.

My car mirror is broke and scratches on both doors and front area. Luckily I have witness and the other driver acknowledge he is wrong.

Indirectly the taxi driver caused the accident but unbelievable he was yelling at the other driver.

Always drive for yourself AND others around you.

While even then accidents are not impossible, it allows you better reflexes and reaction time. Making an accident less likely.

True but this time it was impossible maybe if the other driver was patient enough, to observe or stop I wouldn't be in this mess. If I didn't react quickly it was going to be other story.

He acknowledge he is wrong and he said he will fix the car. Just feel sorry for him Honda is bloody expensive, and insurance will want to replace both doors. Plus the whole mirror.

Isn't he insured? people make all kind of promises at the scene and tomorrow they sound like a completely different person. Have you called you insurance? don't spend your time making deals with the other driver.

No brokers on weekends I will call first thing Monday morning. He has no insurance I would like to know since he does not have insurance, how will this work out.

You never make deals with the other person. Never. Let the insurance handle everything. Take details, take photos. Insurance will fix your car and claim from the other person.

Already went to police station, I have his details, case number and eye witnesses contact details. I will call my insurance Monday morning
