Hi all
Firstly want to say, that this isn't related to my previous posts, that was with my personal power backup.
This is in relation to my work.
We have a UPS in our server room, and from what I can see it's a reasonably high end UPS, and it's built like a tank. The server has since been decommissioned, but the UPS still sits there, and my aim would be for it to run our ONT, and internet for the admin department. I had it set up to run our ADSL, and switches, and even then the unit would shut down after barely an hour.
What I don't know however are the technical details, of the wattage, and if it's one of those "It's only there to allow you to safely shut the PCs down after a power failure" type UPSses, or if it should by design carry us over till the electricity comes on again. I also don't know how long the batteries should be expected to last, however what I do know is that batteries are most likely almost 10 years old, and most likely need to be replaced. I have attached a photograph of the UPS, and Quality control slip, as hopefully that should lead to some answers.
Thanks
