Hi all,

I am looking for someone in the East Rand area that can do an installation of a single network point, and also shorten an existing antennae cable and fit a new SMA connector.

The network point will run from our Linksys 3G router into our strong room, which I estimate to be less than 20m of cable, and must terminate in the safe with a wall box and include a ± 1,2m fly-lead. Route of the cable will need to be through the ceiling. (to attach a 1TB NAS Hardrive)

I also need to shorten the cable of a LPDA21 antenna by approx. 4m, and obviously need to refit an SMA connector to the cable. Ideally I was hoping that whoever does this would also have a signal tester to be able to fine-tune the antenna, if not, I will use the E620 tool to do it myself.

This is for our company, so I need someone who is VAT registered, and will be able to do the work ASAP. Payment will be made via EFT.
If anyone is interested, please PM me for details.

Thanks in advance.

Try CIS - Core Infrastructure Services.

I know they're based in CT but I've worked with them and they will put you on to the right people. Speak to a guy named Drihan 0824660671.

OK, I need to revitalize this this thread... I have still not managed to find someone with the right crimping tools need to fit SMA connectors. I contacted Poynting, who gave me a list of contractors, but all of them said they don't have the tools.
Surely there must be someone here that deals with Wi-Fi and wireless who has this tool?

Doe's anyone know how much signal is ACTUALLY lost per metre of cable?

Need help !!!
