need mac os x 10.5+

Hi all - 1st I hope I'm posting in the right place ;-)

I need a legit copy of Leopard 10.5 - as I understand it, it is the latest Os x for true Macs? Meaning running PowerPC chips not Intel?

We have G? that we use with iProducer and the bloody new version needs a Os x over 1.5 and we are at 10.4.11 and the people at the iStore is trying to sell me Snow Leopard and as far as I can determine that is Intel only?

Any direction, contacts etc. appreciated - thanks

@Speedster - the Macs are a single purpose machine for us, running one application and just one, it rips CDs all day long and send data - nothing else - it is a pure waste to upgrade something like that

Oh, that's the issue. No, just get it from eBay. I doubt you'll find it at a store in SA. Or if you can wait then just check gumtree regularly.

Personally I would just download the ISO. If you have Tiger pay the US$30 to upgrade to SL to soothe your conscience.

Go to either a store or consultant. Purchase Leopard or Snow Leopard and ask/pay to have Leopard installed. If it's a machine that you earn money with, consider upgrading. It's the cost of doing business.
