Need more Xiaomi sensors

Hi folks,

I need to get more Xiaomi sensors, but instead of ordering via Gearbest (which is impossible if you want to use Aramex Global Shopper), I started Googling for anybody locally whom I can rather buy from.

I found https://smartphoneshop.co.za and they stock all the Xiaomi goodies that I need namely the motion sensor and door/window sensor.

Has anybody ordered from them before and what are they like? Reliable?
 
I also need more of these, considering just ordering of aliexpress and let it come here after the lockdown. SAPO is so slow, lockdown may be over when it eventually arrive.
 
If you don't get your answer here ask in the main xiaomi thread. I am sure people have used this shop but not sure of the result.
 
I have a phone that is with DHL. It is considered a non-essential item so cannot be delivered or collected. Doubt a sensor would be any different.
 
I am well aware that I cannot order anything during lockdown, but this is the time to plan and then execute when lockdown is over.

I'll ask within the official Xiaomi thread as well.

I've been put off from sites like Gearbest and Banggood. Frankly, I don't trust the SAPO to deliver anything! My mom was on holiday in Switzerland 2 years ago and sent some excess shoes back home and they only arrived 3 months later with all good intact, but one could see that the package had been opened. I haven't used the Post Office in years, but there is a clear sentiment that at times packages just don't arrive with the goods in or arrive 10 years later (Ok, I'm exaggerating here).

I wanted to order from Gearbest and get the stuff delivered to my AGS address in China, but no matter what, it won't allow me to continue to the delivery page during check-out. I tried to check out using Banggood, but the courier charge is just ridiculous - in this case, double the cost of the item.

Banggood used Buffalo courier not regular post. Most items have the tariff insurance option so you don't pay vat/duty. if you do Banggood refunds you immediately. The last part of my delivery was with Paxi to Pep store.

Also depends on where the item comes from. Direct from HK very few options. From mainland China, more options.

Not sure if the lock down is affecting delivery options. just had a look at some stuff I ordered a few months pack. Only EMS available atm.

Ah ok.. Closest cheapie I can find locally is this one (works with MI Home). But probably not what you wanted.

@Dan C, yep, this is the one I am looking for. Xiaomi is a rather confusing company because they have Aqara and Miija brands and both produce these things with the only difference being small form factor differences. Will check them out.
 
Ordered from smartphoneshop.co.za before. Definitely legit, order arrived quite quickly as well (this was obviously before the lockdown).

I have ordered for MIA Africa plenty of times and they are very quick to deliver (barring it's not during the lockdown).
