My Sony dvd recorder is region locked even for region 2, i googled for a code, but it seems only possible if you have a recordable remote.

Anyone have an idea to do this, i dont know if my laptop Dell D830 has a infrared port and i dont know if my Multichoice recordable remote will be able to do it either?
