I just moved into a new place, it has a small living area but a nice upstairs loft. I want to put my tv in the loft but the satelite cable goes to the living room downstairs. Initially I wanted to just extend the satelite cable but the landlady has said I can't put holes in the wall, so it would look super messy having the cable literally hanging around.

Are the Ellies wireless AV transmitter units my only other option?
Is there anything else out there that can help me? I don't mind having the decoder downstairs...it's just getting the signal to my tv upstairs that is problematic.
I found this online, but I have a samsung tv and can't really find a local price for that anyway.

Suggestions?

If you can, use cable. If you can't, get an AV sender with remote blaster in one. Space Television sells one that is a 4-way selector, sender and remote blaster.

Might be a stupid question... but what does the "4-way selector" do?
Is the signal affected by things like microwaves or wlan?

I've got one of those wireless senders and receivers from Ellies and it actually works quite well, yes it is affected by other wireless devices so you'd have to fiddle with the switches on the back.

Ah ok...thanks :)
Will have a think about it and give SpaceTV a call.
