Need some assistance

Morning all.
The complex i stay in has a shared wireless internet connection via a 4MB adsl line.

I am looking at purchasing a wiress NIC for my pc. but what i want to know is what kind on external antenna's would i be able to hook up to one of these cards ?
Reason is i can get a signal via my laptop but the signal is pretty weak so i need to get an external antenna so i was told to get a better signal.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

from where i am to the club house is roughly about 200 maybe 300 meters i have not measured it.
also i there are other units in the way.

Perhaps you can try a Wireless N network card? Or USB card.

crap 3G, waitil on telkom. and no coverage with any other wireles / wimax ISP's

yea used my mothers one. signal is pretty bad. and i used to have em. playing wow on an iburst connection is just horrible

Find out if they have a VANS license, and ask them to show it to you. If they don't then they're operating illegally, and you can report them to ICASA who can immediately confiscate their equipment.

What you want is it scare/blackmail them into providing you with free internet. Of course you don't need to do it if you don't have the balls.

But you should know that it's illegal to resell internet connectivity without a VANS license.
