I believe i'm not the only one with this problem, ever since i updated to Android KitKat 4.4.4 there is one major problem.

I cannot copy/transfer a file (mp3,image, videos etc) from internal storage to my SD card. I read that google somehow stopped that. I even tried from my pc but still getting "cannot play song" etc.

Is there any work around this? my internal memory is seriously low. My SD card just seems worthless now.

My brother has an S3 with Cyanogenmod 11 on, which is Android 4.4.4. He gave it to me to sort out and I had no issues copying stuff onto the external memory before I gave it back to him.

Well for me it's causing a problem and it's a common one amongst other users. I did read that before and also did a full format. Still no luck.

Ok with a Sony running 4.4.4 you simply go to settings, storage and right at the bottom you will see "transfer data to SD card" it will then give you a few options as to what you can transfer. Remember with KitKat only the file manager that was included in your firmware can move and delete files : no third party apps, this prevents malware from doing the same.
