Hey, does anyone know someone who could help me acquire a toyota supra? or know if it's possible to import one from japan and then register it here? Just looking for a little information on the process.

I'm assuming you're looking for the mid-90s (Fast and Furious ) model though. I've seen a few Supras in the usual classifieds (gumtree, junkmail, etc.) so just keep checking.

Honda s2000 is about around R200 000, and i'm not a big fan of Honda's, although it is quite a delicious looking car. I was more interested in getting a naturally aspirated or maybe single turbo for like $4k from japan and shipping it over here.

There's a guy who bought a Toyota Supra from a transit dealer in Durban and somehow registered it here. How the hell did he do it? Someone must know -_-

Thanks, yeah, the mk4 model. I've seen them as well, but either they're registered in another country, or they're in crap condition, or horribly over priced.

Unfortunately that is your reality. Buying a car that is desirable, that was never imported by Toyota in any numbers, and is bound to be modded to death does not leave you with much options. If that is what you really want save up, so you be ready when one becomes available, I've seen ads for them in the R150k - R250k range with papers. The other routes I would stay well away from.
