Hi all,

If a Mother wishes to take her children across the boarder - does she require connect from the father to do so?
Secondly should she ignore the above and do it anyway - is it considered kidnapping and what recourse does the father have?

Thanks all.

Yes and yes. Father will be able to track passports and notify relevant international kidnapping agencies if he chooses to do so. Mom should expect the police.

Friend at work sent kids with grandparents to eEurope. On the way back they picked up trouble in France as visa said kids can travel with parents. Wanted to detain old folks, eventually staff from embassy had to get involved and letters were faxed etc. So can be very tricky ...
