Will DDR3 1333 ram work with this CPU? I see that under Memory Specifications it says "Memory Types DDR3-1066" I thought the motherboard just needed to be compatible with the ram?

Add: For the motherboard it says the following: "3. Support for DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules"

So if I get DDR3 1333 ram and put it in the Pc what will happen? Will it downclock* to 1066 or not work at all?

That site calls that cpu "Intel Pentium G530 2.50GHz Dual Core LGA 1155 Processor."

The Intel G530 is a 2.4GHz Celeron.

DDR3 1333Mhz will work.

have you looked up the RAM QVL for your board?

The ram I want specifically is not listed, however there are loads of similar ram, I am not concerned about the ram being compatible with the motherboard since it is, I want to know if it will be compatible with the CPU.

Seems like that there's an error on NGR's website the processor is actually a Intel Celeron G530 2.40GHz

EDIT: I see someone else also asked the question. so It sounds like it will work. :)

That RAM should work, seeing that it is 1.5V like the Sandy Bridge CPU's prefer.

I think the CPU will automatically downclock the RAM to 1066MHz.
