Hi there

I'm trying to register my daughter at WITS and their accounts department are less than useful. They don't seem to understand the concept of source documents and for some unknown reason do not think I deserve to have a copy of the tuition fee invoices.

So I basically want to send them the same email over and over and over until a brain responds.

Any clues?

In linux you could do this from command line with a cronjob. Also, understand that the universities are under immense strain at the moment.

Wouldn't most mail servers see that as an attack? You could get into trouble. Why not pick up a phone?

Yeah except this issue is outstanding from 2008...

They bill me whatever they feel like and won't release results until the account is up to date (fair of course) but then won't send me documentation.

Think I may have to go there and literally bash heads.

I think you chose a really bad time to do this. You got people (person) dying in the mad rush to get into university at the moment. I imagine those departments are completely overwhelmed, but good luck anyways!

Trust me, I've tried calling them. Ever managed to get a University person on the line during working hours? I think they work on a 11am to 2pm basis with a three hour lunch.

They bill you breakage deposits and bus transport fees and if you don't use the bus then you can ask for a credit. However the accounts department can't action credits!!!! They fob you off onto to the respective faculties who in turn want to see the invoice in question which I can't get out the accounts department...

Circle of death.

rofl your solution will only perpetuate your problem.

get yourself or your daughter to go to the offices and get what you need, she in any case has been in the vicinity how many times since the issue in 2008?

Strangely enough, it's worked before, even better in the day of that funny device that made gurgling stuttering sounds when connecting to the other side..

She's actually never on the WITS campus, hence the problem but I will just pay the flippen registration fee and bill the bastards for the interest.

Let me not start on my wife's saga with UNISA or her attempts to get SACE registered (teaching thing). I am completely convinced that there are only 4 people that work at the Pretoria UNISA main campus :-)

Last year they sent her coursework six months after she wrote the exam.

Anyway.
