25 May: Voice service on main line dies. ADSL still works. Fault logged.

26 May: Fault priority esculated.

27 May: Fault priority REesculated. No history of it being esculated in the first place.

28 May: ADSL service goes down. Fault RELOGGED to include ADSL service problems.

Anyone know how I can speed up this process?? The guy who I spoke to at the customer care said there's such a backlog of ADSL repairs in Gauteng that it could be quite a while till my fault gets attended to!! :(

Is there someone I could call? Pay? Blow???

EDIT: In Emmarentia, Johannesburg, connected to PKV (Parkview) exchange

Drive around and look for a techie and ask him what your options are, and mention you have logged the fault & got a reference number. That's your best bet mate. A techie knows best :)

Failing that, try this: Resolving a Telkom Dispute - as I tell people who mail in, it works for the vast majority of people.

The techies work right outside my house.. but last time I had a prob I asked them and they said they don't have the expertise or something to fix problems on an ADSL line .. hmmm.. perhaps they're just lazy fscks?:p
