Need UPS software to power off second pc via lan

So I got an APC Back-UPS hooked up by USB and the powerchute software runs fine on pc1.

I need to gracefully shutdown a second pc hooked up to the same UPS over the LAN when the power fails. Powerchute cannot do this.

Anybody knows of a solution for APC and windows 7 (64bit).

I have Winpower 4.5 installed for my old Sahara UPS. It seems to have LAN functionality.

Yes that is what Im aiming to do. How would pc1 know when to execute the shutdown command?

I've never used the Powerchute software, but the Linux APC package allows you to run scripts for a bunch of different conditions. There must be something like that in Windows too.

Is there anybody here that has managed to get Winpower to work with an APC Back-UPS?

You can create a task in Task Scheduler to run when PC1 shuts down. Then shutdown PC2 remotely.

I think so yes. I downloaded SHUTTER and that makes it possible to run the psshutdown command when the UPS battery level gets to a predetermined value.
