thanks for the link will check it out, I had blender 3D, wonder if its the same thing.

yeah it probably is the same program...
www.blender3d.org
its not actually that difficult to do
1) start blender
2) at the top of your screen is a drop down that says SR:2-model
click on that and choose SR:4-Sequence- this puts blender into sequence editor
3) The middle screen is your timeline
click add/images browse to your image folder
click "a" to select all images
click "select images" button
4) a block is inserted into the timeline- position it at the beginning of the timeline. You can now scrub through, press play and watch a preview of your video etc
5) The bottom window contains all the settings- eg frames per second, output format, size etc- some of the settings you need to pay attention to:
5.1) click "do sequence" under the "anim" button
5.2) set your end frames- under anim- currently it will be 250 (on the left of the play, ff, rew buttons you will see the current frame- scrub the timeline to the end of the image blocks and record that number)
5.3) under format choose avi or whatever you want
5.4) under output select where you want to save to
5.5) click anim
its as simple as that...
