What are you doing? why are you doing (or not) it? as for myself I'm stuck at work...

Meh, Mandela day is just a quick feel good publicity stunt - doesn't solve problems or help anyone in the long term.

I'll do something when they have "end the strike day" or "stop cable thieves day".

Today? Nothing.

The company is doing a whole charity event by raising funds and helping an underprivileged school/creche for a few hours. I can either do the work that I was paid to do, or help out with the charity stuff, and catch up on work in my own spare time.

It's more important that I EARN my living, to feed the mouths at my own home and in the process pay for all of the various taxes, and then indirectly assist the underprivileged with all of the grants that they receive. Charity begins at home.

So, I'm giving more than just 67 minutes today....

Wow, listen I also think this whole thing is nothing but a publicity stunt. And I have to work. But some of these comments? Damn... Nothing wrong with helping someone less fortunate on one day of the year no matter in who's name or legacy it is.

Wow, just wow...
