I'm experiencing problems with my Neotel connection. I can dial in OK, but I can't access any sites and I can't even ping www.neotel.co.za. I have logged a fault and I'm told technicians are working on the problem. I'm just posting here to see how widespread this problem is so if you are on Neotel and have alternative means of connecting to the net, please let us know if you're affected.
 
Same here in Sunninghill, Can dial in but no connection to the internet.
 
Apparently the entire neotel internet was down, but when i asked why the guys couldn't even tell me if it was due to upgrades (volentary) or a fault. It is back up now though as i am posting this from my neotel account.

Great stuff. Spending the whole evening on ADSL local only was getting depressing.
 
How depressing same thing here.
Frustrating if you ask me, I couldn't connect more than 3 hours.......

I just hope this fixes the latency I have experienced over the weekend......
Couldn't do jack on Saturday evening.


At last they back up :)
Connected to the SOUTH OF JHB.

I just hope in future they've a network status on their website a portal where clients can log on and check if there are network faults, even voice calls were dropped on me as well...

Oh, and couldn't connect to Neomail at all... From Sunday

That also happens to me intermittently. It happened last night and I'm in the Sandton area. Drives me batty when it happens.

You can say that again, and non of their support tech can tell you anything what is happening..

Intermittently is also another down fall, last week it happen about 3 times during the week or more.

I am having flash back to my experiences with Sentech. Please, please don't become the next Sentech!!!

Happen again for about 2minutes.....
Couldn't even ping any website only the gateway I connect 2 :(

Update :Latency are going crazy unstable, same thing happen yesterday..

The network department have been informed..
hope this gets resolved A.S.A.P been complaining about this since last week..

The Device even keeps Re-establishing a connection..
DATA SERVICE : Couple of minutes , then Re-establishing..
This happens a lot during Peak hours...

Same thing here....last night it lasted for about 2 hours. Looks like this is a widespread problem. Unless they only have one tower.
 
Just received a phone call from one of the technical staff members. They still trying to find a remedy... And the interval issues must stop, the only time the network seems to be stable during off peak hours like 8 pm to around 5am not getting no interruption of Service..
