After a Hiccupy past week and a few phone calls into the Neotel call centre I finally got some satisfaction. Technician actually called me back, asked me how the signal was now, to my amazement signal was 100% 4 bar Signal Strength. I browsed a few sites, ping was definately faster than before but still a little slowish, once the site started loading bam !! it was there :) GOOD JOB NEOTEL :D

I did a speed test on www.speedtest.net and was a little puzzled at the figures, really feels alot better than what the figures show lol. To me can only be much better signal strength and thus am a satisfied customer in actually getting what I pay for.

Overall I am happy with their NeoConnect Lite Product and am busy waiting to see what upgrade options there are to the Prime package.

There will be problems with Neotel for some consumers, Neotel will spend more money on bettering their service all the time, I think the onus is upto us to keep reminding them of what we want and expect in a productive manner with the right people as it has certainly helped me to be patient and persistent with Neotel's technical support. So guys any hassles call the call centre and ask to speak to a technician or second level support to get the proper feedback and eventually satisfaction you wanted.

Unless you mean kbps?

Yep its kbps (kilobits per second) || kb/s

Download: 135 kb/s would be 16.8750 KB/s (kiloBytes per second)
Upload: 43 kb/s would be 5.3750 KB/s

As Advertised on Neotel's Website: http://www.neotel.co.za/neotel/view/neotel/en/page49567
"Internet for starters with peak download speeds of 156Kbps and average speeds between 50 and 100Kbps."
So Neotel are well within their advertised specification and am satisfied with what I ordered.

Not be a troll, but I'm very glad with my ADSL

That's taken just now, just to make you jealous

I'm not jealous, I am darn well envious and actually quiet chuffed that you acknowledge the quality of Neotel by comparing it to 4MB ADSL :)

Thank you !!

ADSL 4MB is many times faster than what you get on Neotel. Just wish bandwidth was cheaper... sigh..

Neotel > ADSL
<----- Ex ADSL User, I cancelled my line's and went for the uncapped solution. Now I can afford 6 extra cases a month lol

I don't need the speed, All I really want is reliability and consistent service with no limitations, as time goes on performance will only get better with new technology rollouts.
