Hi All

Anyone who is on a Neofibre option please can you post a local and international speed test as I am getting horrible results on our international traffic.

What is deemed normal or acceptable?

25% of line speed is what I am getting currently.

Regards

International speeds, well, on a 100Mb fibre line they look the same as above, so to me that's the norm lol

Wow, your USA latency is just about the same as EU, usually that's quite a bit higher

Your TCP Receive window is 192KB ?

No, not that, more to do with speed outside SA, ISP's can't guarantee international speeds, unless you have a 1:1 line to a America or Europe with a breakout on that side, but that would cost R100 000 + a month alone.

Agreed, but the two speedtests are almost 100% the same (based on RTT) 5.94 (@250) ~= 6.91 (@223). Either way, for a single socket international speedtest on a 15mbit line its a pretty decent result.

What percentile are you on for NeoInternet? It sounds like you have 25% international and 75% local. This is done on sign up and you should see it on your Neotel invoice.
