Hi

I am using a mac and am having problems connecting to certain sites. www.co.za is the test I use but The Times is also affected.

Basically the sites time out when trying to connect to them.

This happens only on the wireless link between the router and the mac. If I connect via Ethernet I don't have this problem.

I have replicated this problem on 2 different machines but I don't have the same problem on a Windows machine also connected via wireless.

Does anyone else have the same problem or have any idea how to solve it.

Thanks

Uhh... Try repost in the MAC section. I don't have a clue. Soz buddy. Try maybe WLAN driver update?

Id tend to disagree .. if its working on a windows machine (tm) ;) then Id hazard a guess as to say the router has nothing to do with it. The fact that it works on a windows machine, means the router handles data as intended.

The only issue I could maybe see there, is with the mac network protocols being a slightly different (maybe better .. i dunno) protocol .. have u tried it on a linux machine ?? I think that ought to narrow your next target for problem elimination. Maybe try a linux VM .. and see if it works ..

Good Luck

Working fine via my NeoFlex modem connected via wifi and using an iMac and Safari

Try deleting all your locations and network adapters and creating them from scratch.

Interesting. Also a Mac user and get consistent time-outs on popular sites. Local only.

Netbank.co.za I can't load at all and many more.

I'll try via ethernet and let you know.

Okay so have tested this and am amazed.

Netbank.co.za / Numetro.co.za / Sterkinekor.co.za / www.co.za DO NOT load on my MacBook Pro over Wi-Fi using Safari 4.

All of those work perfectly via Windows 7 / Ethernet connection.

I'll try the Macbook Pro with ethernet tomorrow.

Same here except for Numetro, working over Ethernet and not working over WiFi.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Replicated on Macbook and Mocbook Pro. The MBP is a completely clean install.
