Hello,

I am currently using NeoConnect and am able to connect to the internet with Linux via the modprobe and pppconfig options.

I want to know if I was to switch over to NeoFlex whether I'd be able to use Linux and if using the Ethernet connection, do I need any drivers? Should I use the USB for NeoFlex, will the "modprobe usbserial vendor=0x1d09 product 0x4000" - type command work to identify the device?

Thanks in advance!

I am no expert on Linux, but based on feedback this ought to work straight out the box.

You should not have to use any special commands since the NeoFlex Data product is a 4 port & WiFi router - plug the ethernet cable in and enjoy. However; if you choose to connect the router via the USB port then you would need to use the Linux commands you have mentioned.

Works out the box

Hi,

I can confirm that the NeoFlex router will work out the box with linux using an Ethernet connection. Any config you need to do on the router (setting username and password or enabling wifi) can be done on its web interface (http://192.168.0.1)
