Hey all,

I really need some help with some "basic" networking. Before I bought my neoflex I had Iburst. It was a pretty simple setup, ethernet RJ45 cable into my wireless router - typed in the username and password and we were a for away.

Now with the neoflex it is a wireless router. The only problem is that my main router in the house for the media centers and for gaming within the house is 802.11n and the neoflex router is 802.11a\g. I have a Ethernet RJ45 cable between the two the Netgear WNR3500 and the neoflex, how can I make it that all the internet traffic is passed from the WNR3500 to the neoflex so that all my devices can still connect to the WNR3500 at 802.11n and use the internet going through the Neoflex.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The iBurst device presumably supported PPPoE, allowing your router to control the PPP session (basically dialling out, with your router treating the iBurst terminal just like a modem, but with an ethernet port).

The NeoFlex device sets up the PPP session to the CDMA network itself, so you don't have to have anything else controlling it. Instead, you just need to tell your router that the NeoFlex is the default route to the Internet. As default, the NeoFlex device also acts as a DHCP server (issuing dynamic IP addresses to the rest of the local network), but this won't be relevant if all you have is a cable between the two devices, and nothing else attached to this ethernet segment. The simplest would be to set a fixed IP address on your router, in the same subnet range as the IP address on the NeoFlex, and make the NeoFlex's IP address the default route on your router.

How to actually do this stuff should be in the manuals for your devices - presumably came in the boxes, or can be downloaded.

Excellent thanks a million :)- I thought it could be the default gateway but wasnt sure, I will set the neoflex to static and the 802.11n as DHCP for all the clients. I can hook them up at any of the Ethernet ports right doesnt have to be some specific port.

Now I just have to figure out on the Netgear where to specify the default gateway its doesnt seem to have that on the LAN settings.

Ok just incase anyone wants to do this with a Netgear WNR3500 RangeMax Next router I found the link (which is what you where basically saying :))
