NeoGo Datacard - What speeds?

Hi IndigoIdentity,

CDMA clearly states "up to 3.1 mbps". As we all know, real world speeds is not anything like that. One should only expect anything between 60 kbps to 2 mbps peak. If you are lucky to get good signal, and are on a non congested cell, speeds may be good enough for a bit of youtube. Problem with these small dongles, they don't have a decent antenna, so that's it.

Neotel? Stay away from them unless you get one of their Techies to do an onsite check at your place...I bought the datacard on a Friday returned on the Monday got full refund, then months later I signed up for the NeoFlex 10GB @R176 pm well I got my contract cancelled that very same month after I wrote a letter to ICASA, I returned their device and I didn't pay a cent for early termination.

Yes, I agree with ahf. Neotel's coverage - LTE, CDMA, Wimax is not universal in JHB/PTA - so test, test, test. Everybody is migrating to LTE - if you can get it, works great - so CDMA network is improving all the time - less customers! and R220 something pm for 15G is not to shabby, Nige!
