Well, to spare you the months and months of posting, I will keep this short.
This is the order of events roughly. I need advice.

1) Neotel sign up, auto-debit option please!
2) First statements come, service disconnection. Why? Not auto-debit like i asked.
3) Problem solved, auto debit fixed, 2 months paid at once to fix it.
4) Random date change on their debit date? Payments bounced, they don't state that.
5) 1 month later, service disconnection? Even though the current month paid.
6) Multiple attempts to contact customer support failed, phone support says email, email says phone, someone along the way says contact finance. How?
7) MONTHS pass, no resolution. Neotel constantly debit from my account, with no way for me to stop them.
8) Now racking up high up in the thousands I posted on hello peter as a desperate move.
9) Support contacts me a few weeks later (after yet another debit)
10) Support does not read the actual problem, simply sends me a mail saying that my account is disconnected because I keep cancelling debit orders.
11) back and forth with some incompetent support staff, still not reading the emails or the actuall hello peter complaint - my request for account termination 'was never logged'. I don't just want my account terminated.
12) Weeks pass, no contact.

So, what do I do here? Who do I contact? How can I get my money back (if that is even plausible for such a stupid company to grasp).
For months and months they have been taking my money. The best part? I still cannot use the phone, sms or data services from the neotel device. My service is still 100% disconnected... I have been paying for a paperweight and I am getting tired of trying to explain something this simple to the neotel support channels.

Does anyone have a contact higher up? Preferably someone who can actually take a support request and read further than the title of the post? Just an email or a phone number or something. I really have no other options but to start asking other consumers.

Any advice appreciated.

unfortunately you will have to go to their offices direct, you will not get any help from the call centre, they are clueless.
there was a brilliant rep on the forums, but he also gave up and left the company and hasn't been replaced.
your best bet is to cut ties from neohell, get your money back, get cell c and voip any calls, they are just plain rubbish.

Thanks for the response, i do remember the neotel rep actually (probably one of the reasons i had chosen them, they seemed active in the consumer space).

I do have cell C already, I have been trying to cut ties with neotel for months :) I just don't want to lose my > 5k they have been randomly withdrawing, so i have to chase it up.

Cant you tell your bank to stop the debit order from going through?

Yea, i did. What happens is the first month it catches it, second month they take twice as much - so its not registered as the same debit. Blocking the second month amount means that the next 3 month bunch will hit me all at once, also bypassing the debit order stop.

Secondly, while you do have 40 days to go and reverse a debit order, the whole situation should not be up to me to monthly go and reverse their charges. They need to catch a wake up, and listen to the hundreds of mails sent and calls made. And of course, by the time I think 'well, I paid, now they should reconnect me' 40 days can pass waiting for a response, or discussing this with their support staff and it is already too much of a collection of money to leave it alone. They must sort it out.

Dude, just cut your losses and forget about Neotel.
