Have just emailed neotel the following:

"Hi Guys

I just wanted to inform you of some problems with the FAQ section for your consumer offering. Many of the Questions are very valid, but unfortunately many of them are no answered at all. Yes their is an answer but its almost as if it is incomplete or is an answer to a different question. for example:

"When will Neotel launch ADSL, Wimax and Broadband services?
Neotel plans to introduce a variety of voice and data services (including high-speed internet and true broadband access services) for individual consumers and SMME’s in South Africa. Neotel will focus on converged wireless services, offering voice and internet access over a single device, thereby bringing convenience and simplicity to telecoms services. Neotel is also working towards rolling out True Broadband services over various technologies, including wireless technologies such as WiMAX and wire line technologies such as DSL and fiber."

Nowhere in the above does it actually give us consumers even a rough idea of when the services will be provided, all it says is that it will be provided. I am not trying to get a time frame from you guys as I realise you obviously don't have the foggiest, but you really need to change the question to at least reflect the solution. No point in getting people all excited only to be dissapointed with a disjointed and irrelevant answer."

Don't know about you guys but half jobs like this tend to bother me. I will post the response as soon as i get one, but chances are it will be an automated response.

Well no reply from neotel, but i just checked their FAQ and it has been changed, it now reads.

"When will Neotel launch ADSL, Wimax and Broadband services

Neotel plans to introduce a variety of voice and data services (including high-speed-Internet and true broadband access services) for individual consumers and SMMEs in South Africa. Neotel will focus on converged wireless services, offering voice and internet access over a single device, thereby bringing convenience and simplicity in telecoms services. The converged high-speed Internet access and voice services are currently being piloted by Neotel, and will be commercially available in select areas of the major metros immediately following the completion of the pilot in early 2008.

Neotel is also working towards rolling out true broadband services over various technologies, including wireless technologies such as WiMAX and wireline technologies such as DSL and fibre. Broadband services are targeted for introduction in phases over the year 2008."

Apparently according to this we can expect broadband this year. Although according to this the neoconnect is still being piloted so i think it is most like another quick copy and paste job which kind of makes me think my suggestion fell on deaf ears.

lol, my bad. Went to the wrong FAQ section. If you click the FAQ on their home page it takes you to a different FAQ than if you go to consumer and then click the FAQ. Incase anyone is wondering, both FAQ's i went to were for consumers, but some of the answers to the questions differ a little.
