Anybody been affected by it? Been down since before 3 today. Our MAN is up by no internet service's as yet.

Neotel Datacenter outage

Hi,

Yes, can confirm massive outage at Neotel Datacenter.

Started at 14:20 today, stayed down for 20 minutes, came back up and has, since, been up and down the whole time. Finally went down 16:20 and has been down ever since (except for about 10 minutes at 19:40).

As it stands we've had a recovery in connectivity to the datacenter, but ping times and latency are varying wildly. Clearly it is not fully resolved yet. I've lost it with the Neotel support team (escalated all the way up to their Level 4) who says we're the only clients having issues. Clearly this is not the case.

Let's have a show of hands, please? Who else?

MyBB's attachment facility is broken, so I cannot attach a graph of the outage.

Hi,

Last update for the evening: we're fully back online. They've cut everybody over to different infrastructure while they sort out their aggregation routers. Everybody should be back up again.

So after screaming and shouting eventually I can get Internet from the DC at about 09h20. Only to find the I am only getting a L2 connection on my vpn between the office and the DC on Neotel fibre from our office. Route it over our crappie 10 Meg adsl and all is up.
 
Ouch, sounds like you had it rougher than we did.

I've gotten peer approval to install test infrastructure at Hetzner. If our tests go well, I'll be pulling the plug on all our Neotel hosting infrastructure. It'll be painful, but I want to do it now before our roots at Neotel grow too deep.

We have servers there, not sure which DC room but no outage observed on our side...
