Neotel Microwave Site Survey ???

I recently invited Neotel to perform a site survey for possible Wimax services @ my residential property due to Telkom copper cable theft.

The Neotel technicians arrived promptly as scheduled and performed the site survey. I was impressed by their persistence to find a signal but disappointed when they informed me that there was no Wimax line of sight signal in my area.

Today I received a call from Neotel to inform me that they would like to perform a 'microwave' site survey at my residence. I cannot afford a microwave link and I made it clear to the rep that I was only interested in the affordable Wimax service.

Does anyone who bothers to read this forum have any idea what microwave service Neotel is offering?

I am expecting the Neotel technicians tomorrow morning and I will provide feedback (good or bad).

I applied for their fiber broadband which i didnt have fiber "coverage" and they are doing a microwave feasibility study

I would imagine they have spectrum/frequency available for point to point microwave links and its just the cost of the equipment that
they have to factor in. They didnt mention i would have to pay more though

The technical team arrived at my home earlier than scheduled and were able to find a 'line of sight' signal to the microwave tower.

I will be given an installation date shortly and there was no mention of any additional costs. I initially applied for the 2meg Wimax service so this is all I am prepared to pay.
