So I've just had a very interesting experience with Neotels Proxy, even more interesting than the anal probe when I got abducted as a little geek ...

Just downloaded a PDF document 4.7Mb and got my usual > 1mb . I then moved it to my DropBox folder (an online version control / syncing system). I expected about 10-20 minutes to upload this document, if not more.

Low and behold it indicated within 3 seconds that it was uploaded ... WTF

So I quickly log into my work PC which shares the synced folder and checked after 3 minutes and my PDF was there ... WTF but with a smile

I suspect the file was still cached and the upload had been handled intelligently ... or it was my Gay Fairy Godqueen sprinkling some Angel dust on my NeotelPrime device ???

Only way to know for sure... Do it again with another file or files for the matter - different sizes might also help.

It was really weird, cause the PDF at work is fine .... this is one of those really really weird things.

Tried it again tonight with mixed results:

The first file was 670Kb and uploaded really fast - and synced to my work PC before I could log in (less than a minute).

The 2nd file was 2.1mb and took 5 minutes.

These are PDFs and compression makes little difference to the size. On the smaller size I did a md5sum to make sure it was the entire file.

It seems that Neotel has bursts for its upload. The smaller file was uploaded in a realistic time for me, even though it was fast(?). Just the original upload(sync) was rather strange.

But I will be hounest that this is a field that I'm not knowledgeable in.
