If you're experiencing a really slow connection and you're on the NeoFlex bundle, look no further... This is the thread where you'll find real answers.
If you live around JHB City Central/Kensington/Bedfordview and you're getting ridiculously slow speeds, there's basically nothing you can do for another 1.5 - 2 weeks, besides a few facepalms and banging your head against the wall.
Neotel is putting up a top-of-the-range-epic-new-base-station in Bedfordview because the other base-stations are overpopulated. So basically, because of Neotel's ability to not be able to administer the number of users in the area, we must suffer while they sort this out. It was fine over two weeks ago...
Initially i was impressed with the technical and complaints departments of Neotel, but now i feel cheated. We started with checking everything our side (network, modem, etc), waiting a day for all ports to be opened, six days for a technician (granted, it was over the long weekend), and now another 2 weeks (hopefully) for the new base-station. All this whilst they probably knew it was their fault, a congested area which they could not handle.
So, basically, if you've done any "real" complaining to Neotel and have spoken to Hugo, he'll have given you his "word" that this will all be fine when the new base-station is up. So, we sit back and relax while we peak at 5KBps until the top-of-the-range-epic-new-base-station is up... Will it be fixed? If not, can we ever trust Hugo's "word"? Will we be compensated for business and personal loss? Will Neotel have any loyal custmoers left after this, especially in their most populated area? Hmmm...
It's a pity, because i really was impressed with the connetion i had... for a month.
