The nesting instinct in pregnant women:

Around the fifth month of pregnancy, the "nesting" instinct can set in. This is an uncontrollable urge to clean one's house brought on by a desire to prepare a nest for the new baby, to tie up loose ends of old projects and to organize your world.

I am suffering from this SO badly :o

Permanently organising cupboards and drawers, packing, unpacking, re-packing.

I am driving myself crazy, but my house has never looked better!

Have you experienced the same in your house ?

Preparing the baby's room. Biggest waste of time and money ever!

Oh no, this is a all-over-the-house kind of thing! Kitchen, linen closet, office, you name it.

I have not prepared a nursery, since the baby will sleep in our room for at least 6 months, I guess.

That's actually quite sane of you. Carry on then. :)

Each to their own, but our son slept in our room for a grand total of 2 weeks. After that he was in his own room, with his Angel Care monitor, and everyone got a much better nights sleep.

To this day (he is 8 months old now), he sleeps through from 6:30pm to 5:30am.

That is impressive ! Almost 12 hours of straight sleep! Hope I will be that lucky.

Not sure how the fact that he is in another room, ensure you a better night's sleep though? Whether he cries in his room or in your room, you have to get up anyway.
