I'm using Afrihost uncapped and the net has been down the whole day (as we all already know).

I'm now using international sites and streaming as if there was no problem.

Just a heads up in case people are not sure (hopefully not a temporary thing)
 
open up your command promot - Start -> Run -> cmd (enter) - something like that depending on what version of windows you have. Just open dos command prompt

Then type tracert googe.com and enter. copy the results of that.
 
Maybe it is just the shaping being relaxed out of business hours?

thats it. thanks. I was just wondering if Afrihost went to SAT3.. appears that I cant tell. maybe someone else can comment on the above.

On a side note, earlier Afrihost did post this:

Basically you can proxy through them to have some connectivity. That is what I did and got some international sites, but very slowly. I also only did it through firefox and not Chrome, but am using Chrome atm: so I don't think that helped.
 
I can confirm my Axxess account just went online as well.
 
Switched back to AH uncapped, and cannot even load speedtest to compare :) Nothing on the seacom twitter feed about completion. MWEB rep mentioned on another thread that it could take until possibly friday to get it going again.

Yeah, the Afrihost status page has not updated either and theyv'e been updating every once and a while.
Gonna log onto the PSN off my PS3 and see how that goes.
