Hello,

Are there any Netbooks out that can handle 1024 x 768 Resolution?

Which netbooks do you own, or your friends own which suffers with low resolution.
I need to purchase a Netbook for my work and studies, but the slow Intel Atom processors are mainly what is holding me back.

I'm waiting for the new AMD range of processors to become more distributed before I am going to invest in a netbook.

Some important things for me in a netbook is weight, portability and battery life. As mentioned above processing power is the most crucial, I think the Netbook should be able to preform basic office and multimedia tasks without interruption as well as being able to handle limited multitasking.

What is your opinion on netbooks at the moment, why would you rather buy a netbook than a low end Notebook in the same price range? For what purpose have you bought your Notebook, and is it living up to expectations?

Cheers

Have not seen any netbook with that resolution but a few(eg. HP Mini 311) have 1366 x 768 displays.

Newer netbooks with dual core Atom processors(N550 has 2 cores, 4 threads) are reasonably fast & handle multitasking quite well.

Best of luck with your search...

You mean, these ones

Is became available in SA a week or to ago.

Don't get too exited about the processing power of the fusion netbook processors. They do outperform similarly priced atom notebook and they do handle HD video and game a lot smoother than the atoms, but for speed, you need to spend a lot more than the R3500-4500 these netbooks cost.

Well, I know you're looking for a netbook but the new 11" macbook air runs at 1366x768, is ultra light weight and way more powerful than any netbook on the market.

And only four to seven times the price. Don't delay, call now!

Edit: Also it's not completely true, the Appleairbooks have Core 2 Duos. There are Core i3 netbooks on the market, although they are much more expensive, some up to half the price of the Macbook.

Nice I will search for the elusive core i3 netbook :)
