Hi

Has anyone else had issues since Netflix SA launched? Now my Unotelly is in a loop refreshing its IP and not allowing me access to netflix?

regards

That Usually happens when Your IP belonged to someone else who uses Unotelly recently. Restart your router to get a new IP and it will be sorted.

Hi Dr. Who,

I can help you with this.

Can you please tell me :

1. Are you able to access www.hulu.com ? Is there any loop?
2. What happens when you go to www.netflix.com ?

Hi Unotelly,

I've experienced this a few times in the past, since we do not have dedicated IP's in S.A one of the things that sometimes happens is that I will get an IP that previously belonged to someone else that uses Unotelly. I'm guessing there is some kind of timeout on your side that connects that IP to a specific account for s period of time, so when I try to to set the IP to my account it fails. hence the loop.

I've allways been able to resolve the issue by simply resetting my router and thus getting a different "Un-Unotelly'd" IP Adddress

Just go straight to unotelly and update your IP there. Will fix it.

Hi Onlyme,

The only way that you might experience the loop is if someone updates another IP to your current UnoTelly account. Sharing the same IP with another person technically shouldn't create the loop.

However, there is a possibility that there is some weird bug happening. Typically, what kind of error message did you see at the Quickstart page? Is it "IP Expired, please update your IP?".

Thanks for the response, the error is typically something like configuration not complete/update IP.

I can confirm that It definitively has in the past been caused by getting an IP that was previously used by another user, I even received an error message on the Unotelly site telling me who the IP previously belonged to. a Quick reset, and a new IP sorted it out.

There was no way that someone else would have been able to update another IP to the account, one account, one broadband connection.
